Aos 19 anos lançou o seu primeiro single "Goodbye" para promover seu álbum Exposed, e num ápice, chegou ao 15º lugar na billboard. Kristinia entrou no estrelato musical com seu single Goodbye, a música é o seu single de lançamento. E em pouco tempo tornou-se um hit nas rádios norte-americanas, inclusive sendo tema do mais recente comercial da linha de cosméticos Nivea uma versão do hit Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye do extinto grupo Steam. O single acabou sendo lançado antes da data prevista pela Island Def Jam Music Group no iTunes em sete de abril de 2009. O seu único single obteve um ótimo desempenho entrando para o Hot 100 da Billboard, e em nove de junho num ápice, chegou ao 15º da tabela. A primeira aparição foi em 2003, numa das edições do American Juniors.
english> Kristinia DeBarge (born March 8, 1990) is an American R&B singer-songwriter. She is the daughter of James DeBarge, and a third-generation member of the R&B genre's DeBarge family. She is from South Pasadena, California. At 13, she was first introduced to the nation. During the summer of 2003 she was a contestant on the American Idol spin-off, American Juniors. DeBarge progressed to the semifinal round of twenty contestants. She was featured in the first group of ten semifinalists and sang the song "Reflection" from the Disney movie Mulan. However, she was not one of the five to progress from that group into the final ten. DeBarge began work on her debut album in March, 2009, and finished in May, 2009. Her debut single, "Goodbye", produced by Dsap, was released on April 7, 2009 for digital download and was released for airplay on April 28, 2009. The single has peaked at #15 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming a top 20 hit.
