Ysa mudou-se para França com seus pais ainda com 2 anos de idade, para a cidade de Chambéry, em Savoie. Quando jovem trabalhou numa radio local, depois se mudou para Paris e conseguiu um papel no filme "L.627". Em 1995 Ysa começou sua carreira como cantora, e lançou o primeiro album "D'essences naturelles".

english> Ysa Ferrer (born 4 June 1972 in Oran, Algeria) is a French actress and singer. Ysa Ferrer moved to France with her parents before her second birthday and grew up in Chambéry in Savoie. She was a teen when she started to work for a local radio. She moved to Paris, and after a few auditions, she gained a part in the film "L.627", directed by Bertrand Tavernier. She also played the role of Nadia in the France 2 popular tv-series Seconde B (1992 - 1994). During this time span, Ferrer worked on music demos. After two seasons of Seconde B, she decided to focus on her singing career.
