port> La Roux é um duo inglês de synthpop, formado pela cantora e compositora Elly Jackson e o co-escritor e co-produtor Ben Langmaid. Alcançaram reconhecimento por toda Europa após o lançamento dos hit-singles In For The Kill (#2 UK) e Bulletproof (#1 UK). O primeiro album da dupla foi lançado dia 29 de Junho de 2009.
english> La Roux are a British electropop synth duo band made up of singer and synth player Elly Jackson, and co-writer and co-producer Ben Langmaid, with Jackson describing their respective roles as "very much a half and half sharing situation... not like a singer producer outfit", but also recognising that it often can "look like a solo act". Their music is influenced by 1980s synthpop including Yazoo, The Human League, Heaven 17 and Blancmange. Jackson claims to have found a book of baby names in a bin and saw in it the name La Roux. It doesn't actually mean anything in French but could be loosely translated "the red-haired (one)".
