port> Cantor, compositor e pianista, Jon McLaughlin (Anderson, Indiana, 27 de Setembro de 1982) lançou seu primeiro disco em 2007, intitulado "Indiana", em homenagem a sua cidade natal. Com influências como Billy Joel, Elton John e Ben Folds, Jon vem se destacando no cenário musical cada vez mais. Músicas como "Beautiful Disaster" e "So Close" ganharam notoriedade por fazerem parte da trilha-sonora dos filmes "Georgia's Rule" e "Enchanted", respectivamente. Seu segundo disco, "OK Now", foi lançado no dia 07 de Outubro de 2008. O primeiro single deste trabalho, é a canção "Beating My Heart".

english> Jon McLaughlin (born September 27, 1982) is a pop rock singer-songwriter and pianist from Anderson, Indiana. His debut album Indiana was released on May 1, 2007, preceded by his first EP Industry, also known as Jon McL, in February 2007. McLaughlin returned in 2008 with "Beating My Heart." The new single is part of his sophomore album entitled OK Now.

Jon McLaughlin grew up in Anderson, Indiana, playing piano since early childhood, though he disliked the lessons, and often sought to avoid them. While attending Highland High School, McLaughlin shattered both wrists in an accident that interrupted his musical expression. Rediscovering "his muse," McLaughlin attended Anderson University to study music.

McLaughlin released an independent album entitled, "Up Until Now" in 2003; In 2005 Jon McLaughlin recorded an 8-song EP, Songs I Wrote and Later Recorded, which reached the #1 spot on AwareStore.com; In 2006 McLaughlin signed with iconic record label Island Records. Since then, Jon has increased his presence at well-established musical venues and festivals such as Feeling Better Than Everfine (Cleveland, OH), Waterfest (Oshkosh, WI), Milwaukee Summerfest (Milwaukee, WI), Northwest State College Fest (Archbold, OH) and Lollapalooza (Chicago, IL). He has toured with Kelly Clarkson, O.A.R., Sister Hazel, Cowboy Mouth, Paolo Nutini, and Marc Broussard.
